Welcome

Welcome to the ESL Support for Teachers in WA Blog.  The blog is designed to provide practical support  and news to teachers in mainstream learning areas who have English as a Second Language (ESL) students in their classes. It was set up by me, Helene Markmann, a Western Australian Department of Education ESL Visiting Teacher for Secondary Schools, in October, 2009.  This new blog will develop and evolve in response to you, the teacher on the ground, so please tell me what you want to see on it.

“What’s a Blog?”

It’s nothing too complicated, it’s really just a website that people can make comments on. The word blog comes from the two words, web log. If you make comments they will be reviewed by the administrator before going public so please take care with your comments if you want them published.

How To Keep Up To Date With This Blog

Helene
